Tesco Cheese Challenge
People Energies have organised and hosted the Tesco Cheese Challenge since its inception seven years ago. The Event gives smaller British Cheesemakers the opportunity to develop a new cheese for the market or to expand the distribution of an existing cheese.
Details of the Challenge are initially sent to a full database of cheesemakers in the UK. From the initial mailing entries are received by People Energies and these entries are managed from registration, through to Preliminary Judging and the Final Judging and Awards Ceremony which are held on the same day. In 2009 these were held at the Bluebird Restaurant, Kings Road, Chelsea. The Final and Awards Ceremony were attended in 2009 by Richard Brasher, Commercial and Marketing Director for Tesco.
The 2009 Competition saw entries from over 60 cheesemakers and 20 cheeses were then progressed through to the Final.
People Energies manage and oversee all aspects of the Challenge, we approach and liaise with the Judges for the Preliminary and Final Judging and Invitees for the Awards Ceremony. We produce all literature for the Competition. This includes, but is not limited to, the Invitation to Enter, all Cheese Challenge Ceremony Invitation and Finalists profiles. We also design and manage the dedicated Cheese Challenge Website, visit www.tescocheese.com.
Sainsbury’s Beer Competition
People Energies were approached by Sainsbury’s in 2007 to organise and manage a Bottled Beer Competition which is open to all Breweries within the UK. The Beer Competition entered its second year in 2009 and attracted an exceptional 115 entries from 57 brewers.
People Energies manage all aspects of the Competition and produce all literature for the competition. New initiatives for the 2009 Competition include the issuing of regular newsletters to all those who registered and we also hosted a Planning Workshop which was open to any brewer who was interested in entering the Competition.
The Competition is unique in that the buying public choose two overall winners from 15 Finalists. The beers are available at over 400 Sainsbury’s stores and the competition lasts for approximately five weeks. The two winners receive a guaranteed six month listing with Sainsbury’s.
We also designed and manage the dedicated Sainsbury’s Beer Competition website, visit www.sainsburysbeercompetition.com.
Fuller's Fine Ale Club
People Energies have been managing the Fuller’s Fine Ale Club since its inception and the club is now approaching its 10th Anniversary.
All aspects of the club are managed from enrolling new members, providing articles and information for the dedicated club magazine, First Draught, through to processing merchandise orders.
We liaise with Fuller’s Brewery on a regular basis to keep the club fresh and interesting.
People Energies’ ability to bring the right people together at the right time for an event is important. They are able to cater for both the organisers and the invitees in a way that allows everyone to make a vital contribution.
